Iron ons for adults

 • What you will need: a table (or other hard surface), cloth diapers or i.e. a pillowcase to protect the table top and an iron and the steam function turned off (preferably empty any water), baking or crepe paper and your iron on Minilabels. An ironing board is not suitable because it is too soft. For the same reason do not protect your table with a blanket or towel!

Preparation: set the iron to the highest temperature and  turn off the steam. Turn the clothing that you would like iron inside out.  Set them on a table or other work surface and find on the piece an area which is suitable and comfortable to iron on the Minilabels. For example, a label on trousers can be ironed over the hem of inside legs - the location is easily accessible and the label adheres well and it functions exactly the same as the label in the back of the trousers.

• How to: Remove the label from the foil and put the label (writing up) on your chosen area. Cover with baking paper and place a very hot iron over it. Pushing as hard as possible move very slowly over the label. The label should not move from its place! Hold for about 15 seconds. Then remove iron and carefully remove the baking paper. Do not test whether iron on label holds! Until the clothing or piece is cool, handle them at a minimum. Then take the clothes and wait about 12 hours before children wear them or place them in the washing machine. The glue that is on the bottom label is heat activated and needs time to re-solidify.

• How to identify properly ironed on labels? The label should almost blend in with textured material of the clothing. Only then can the label hold up to repeated machine washing and tumble drying.
